  • Also premium account for 1 day can be obtained for fulfilling an additional condition in problems numbered 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14.

Tanks on artificial intelligence

We talked in detail about the plans of the developers of World of Tanks to introduce tanks with artificial intelligence in version 1.2. The main purpose of AI tanks is to help reduce the wait time for players. This innovation will not affect the RU-region, EU-region and NA-region.

It was decided to test artificial intelligence right away in the regions that need it the most - these are Australia and South America.

Later, artificial intelligence in World of Tanks versions 1.3 and 1.4 will be used to implement PVE in the game.

New map "Empire's Frontier" will appear in World of Tanks with the release of update 1.2. Improved balancer

The new balancer is a template algorithm that selects equivalent team compositions in the shortest possible time. First of all, the balancer tries to create a three-level battle using the 3/5/7 pattern. If it might take too long to collect commands from this pattern, the system relaxes the restrictions to collect commands more quickly. Also, due to the composition of the queue, the balancer can create a two-level or one-level battle. In this case, most of the battles will be three-level. Thus, you won't have to wait for a battle for a long time - the balancer will always select the optimal composition of teams, based on the current situation on the server. With the new balancer, you will always be opposed by a team consisting of the same number of vehicles at the top/middle/bottom of the team list as your team. Moreover, regardless of the template chosen, the number of cars at the bottom of the team list will be greater than the cars in the middle, and they, in turn, will be more than the cars in the “top”. Simply put, no matter what part of the list your vehicle is in, there will always be enemy tanks of the same level for you, which will allow you to have a greater impact on the outcome of the battle.

Expansion of light tank branches up to Tier X

The branches of light tanks will be expanded to Tier X and will receive a standard level of battles (±2), which will diversify the gameplay on the LT and make it more enjoyable. They won’t have to suffer anymore: fast, but extremely “fragile” Tier VIII LTs will now play against “ten”, but the number of Tier X tanks will not be significant - “eighth” LTs will easily find opponents on the shoulder. However, that's not all! Having received full-fledged research branches, light tanks turned into independent combat units and received a number of balance changes. They will still play the role of scouts, but they will have decent firepower and excellent speed to influence the outcome of the battle when needed. The new Tier X light tanks will be faster and more agile than their lower tier counterparts. Stabilization, maneuverability, armor penetration and damage will allow light tanks to excel in battle at short and medium distances. In duels against CTs, Tier X light tanks will be far from "whipping boys". Their guns will be only slightly inferior to the guns of medium tanks, and their armor penetration will be enough to break through the side or stern of any enemy. Anyone who does not pay attention to them in battle will make a big mistake.

Changes in the game mechanics of self-propelled guns

The new stun mechanic turns SPGs into long-range fire support vehicles: effective team players will be able to reduce the combat performance of enemy tanks and set the direction of attack, staying behind the backs of allies. Having lost the ability to inflict high one-time damage, self-propelled guns will temporarily reduce the mobility, accuracy, and reload speed of enemy vehicles. The duration of the stun can be reduced with Anti-Shatter Liner or completely removed with reusable First Aid Kits. At the end of the stun, the parameters of the vehicle return to normal, and you can continue the battle. We also significantly reduced the armor penetration and damage of high-explosive fragmentation shells and completely removed armor-piercing, armor-piercing sub-caliber and HEAT ammunition from researchable self-propelled guns. SPGs will now deal less damage, but gain experience for damage dealt by allies against stunned targets, similar to intelligence damage. Thus, firing at groups of enemy vehicles will be more effective than firing at single targets. This change, combined with the introduction of a stun mechanic, will force SPG players to adjust their playstyle and fire into enemy clusters.

WOT 1.3 update

Firstly, new maps will be added, decals will appear with which you can change the appearance of vehicles. Personal combat missions will now be viewed quickly and conveniently. New tanks will be added to the game. The old legendary "firefly" will be returned to the Soviet tree. The maps will be reworked and one new one will be added. There are many changes. Maps in WOT 1.3

Adding new maps to World of Tanks will be a constant and ongoing process. So version 1.3 will please you with fresh gaming locations. The Oryol ledge is added to the game - this is a map with industrial buildings, railway tracks on the outskirts of the city. Against the backdrop of huge clouds of smoke blocking the sunlight, battles will take place on this map in World of Tanks 1.3.

In addition to the map "Orlovsky ledge" in wot in patch 1.3, such maps as "Himmelsdorf", "Mannerheim Line", "Fisherman's Bay" and "Industrial Zone" will be changed. Here are the changes in the World of Tanks update version 1.3 for these maps:

  • Fisherman's Cove will get additional covers that can be effectively attacked from the city part of the map. Some trees have been removed from the center of the game location. Shooting positions will be blocked.
  • Himmelsdorf will get a new redesigned central part and comfortable firing angles. When climbing the mountain, an embankment will appear behind which you can put your combat vehicle in order to hide from the enemy's preemptive fire. Embankments have also been added to the northwestern part of Himmelsdorf near the destroyed depot. (at the very beginning you can see it on our forum)
  • The industrial zone is perhaps the most modified map in update 1.3. Buildings will appear on the map in the places where tanks pass. The hills will get lower. Moved obstacles in major battlefields such as mounds of rubble and debris. On the territory of a coal mine, mountains of mined ore have shifted. The river in the northeast of the map will no longer have a hole, but a house will appear. And the entire eastern part of the map has been completely redesigned to give this territory balance during the battle on both sides.
  • Mannerheim line in patch 1.3 will have fresh ambushes and defenses in the northern and eastern parts of the map. So, after the update, new trees, defensive fortifications will appear on the map. Also, on the Mannerheim Line, the backaches loved by the players will disappear - you will have to look for new ones. Many obstacles that hinder the passage have been altered or completely removed.

In general, changes in game locations can be called balanced. Reworks are aimed at high-quality and interesting combat for each of the considered maps. Also on some other gaming locations, bugs found earlier have been fixed.

LBZ in WOT 1.3

The number of new LBZs in patch 1.3 will be impressive. The classification of LBZ has changed. All old combat missions have been reworked. The menu for viewing personal combat missions will become truly new. At a time, you will be able to see the overall situation of the progress of LBZ on your account.

Now, reward tanks will be issued for completing LBZ in wot 1.3. They were the T-55A and the Object 260, which received additional improvements. New rewards have been prepared for completing combat missions. To view LBZ in update 1.3, visit the new menu in the game interface.

The return of the T-50-2 tank to World of Tanks

The sensation of update 1.3 will be the return of the legendary Soviet tank T-50-2 to the game. At one time, when the T-50-2 was removed from World of Tanks, this turned out to be a big wave of negative reviews for the creators of the game. But then the developers did not listen to the opinion of the gaming community and removed the tank anyway. And now, a few years later, the tank returns. So far only for the supertest.

We are waiting for the "firefly" based in patch 1.4 or 1.5. The probability that a tank will be added to level 5 is negligible. The concept of both American maps has not changed, there is urban development and free space, which allows players to choose the role they prefer, taking into account the TTX (Performance Characteristics) of their vehicles.
According to the developers, the gameplay on the maps has not changed, only the graphical perception has changed, the visualization has been improved.

Empire's Edge is the first Asian map since Update 1.0.
This card has already been tested in the Chinese region and, according to the developers, has collected a lot of positive feedback.
Now, this card is out for testing in the RU-region.

We were given points (6) positions for different classes of equipment and types.

Points 1 and 1 designed for medium tanks. These points have good shots, due to which you can fire at long distances.

Center of the map, point 2, zone for light tanks, a decent amount of cover, room for maneuvering and, most importantly, you can go behind enemy lines.

Points 3 and 4, mainly for tanks with good armor, i.e. for “heavies”, but note that point 3 is for vehicles with good gun depression angles , due to the hilly terrain, you can play from the tower, but point 4 does not need good gun depression angles, armor and cunning will decide there.
Positions 5-6, provided for tank destroyers, providing firepower at key locations. (I wonder if the “fireflies” will be able to use the center of the map competently to smash the enemy stern tank destroyers?)

There is a variation in the arrangement of the sides of the teams for the modes: Normal battle, Assault, Encounter battle.

The map will be available for Tier IV-X vehicles, but the “Encounter Battle” and “Assault” modes of this map remain in question whether it is worth leaving them - the players themselves will decide.

“Second front”: operation “Object 279 (p)”

Operations are progressing successfully for most players, it is worth noting that this operation requires diligence in a series of battles.
Recall the basic concept of personal combat missions.

  • The first operation is based on diligence. These tasks are completed over an unlimited number of battles and require tankers to demonstrate their skills in any game situation. These tasks have an optional additional condition. Its implementation doubles the progress on the main condition.
  • The second operation is based on demonstrating gaming skills within a single battle. These tasks require dealing a certain amount of damage, destroying a certain amount of enemy vehicles, etc. The operation is similar to the first campaign.
  • In the third operation, you need to demonstrate high combat effectiveness in a series of battles. These tasks require a high level of skill.

Artificial Intelligence Testing (Further AI)
AI is a forced technology that will allow the Latin American server to live (An option is also being considered for the Australian region), in other words, bots will be legally present in the game from the Wargaming developers, which will significantly reduce the waiting time for the battle for the above regions.
Bots (AI) will have levels from 1 to 5, how to understand that it will be a bot?
In vehicle lists, the bot will have a special patch, and, like in the tutorial mode, the nickname will start and end with a colon, for example: :wot_invite_2018:
Note that in the future AI will be present only in the Latin American (and possibly Australian) region, for the regions RU, EU, NA, APAC (except Australia) everything will remain unchanged, but the function will be available to all players during the test.
The developers say that teams with AI will be balanced so that none of the teams gain an advantage, and the number of vehicles (bots) will be limited, there are also a number of conditions under which AI will be present:
– Range of levels, from I to V.
